Rosa Bonds
Rosa Lee Bonds, 88, died on August 24, 2016 in a local hospital.
She was a graduate of Howard High School Class of 1947. She was a lifelong member of St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was employed by the Lupton Company for over 20 years, until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bonds; sons, Larry and Jackie Bonds and great-granddaughter, Cabrisha Bonds.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Bonds, Nashville; son, Jeffery Bonds, Atlanta; daughters-in-law, Barbara Bonds, Chattanooga; Maggie Bonds, Memphis; god-son, Mark Lee, Atlanta; god-sister, Pearl Sanders, Chattanooga; close friends, Irish Robinson and Mary Green, both of Chattanooga; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, at St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Church officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until time of service at the church.
