Tommy Fay Cordle, 76, of Trion, GA, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at his residence.

Mr. Cordle was born March 24, 1940, in Trion, GA, son of the late Robert Lee Cordle and Eva Lula Mae Skates Cordle.  He attended the Fairview South Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Mayfield Dairy Farms.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Swanson Cordle; brothers, Roy Lee Cordle, Scott Cordle, Cecil Cordle, Renea Cordle, Gerald Cordle, Bernard Cordle, G. D. Cordle, and Glendon Cordle.

Mr. Cordle is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Cliff and Kelly Cordle, Steven and Holly Cordle; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Mike Howard; brother, Jimmy Cordle; sisters, Dorothy Austin and Lula Mae James; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Cordle will be held at noon on Friday, Aug. 26, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lowell Cantrell officiating.  Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens.  Active pallbearers will be Daniel Cordle, Tyler Cordle, Zach Cordle, Aaron Bell, Mike Howard, Cliff Cordle, Steven Cordle, Kristi Bell, Autumn Howard, and Allie Cordle.  Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Mann, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Myra Smith, and the nurses and staff of Life Choice (Compassus) Hospice.

Mr. Cordle will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25.
