Gary Bruce Oliver
Gary Oliver, 63, of Rocky Face, Ga., died Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, while hiking in nature.
He grew up in Chattanooga and graduated from Baylor School. He moved to Georgia after he married in 1979.
Gary was co-owner of Vertex Investment Partners. He was a spiritual man and loved by all. He was the "rock" of his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Red and Grace Oliver.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Cheryl Oliver of the residence; his children, Mitch and Lexie Oliver, Matt Oliver and Jennifer Wilder, Amber Sane and Tasha Garcia, Jim and Lana Cambron, Wally and Holli Thompson; grandchildren, Renz and Ivey Grace Oliver, Sam, Philip and Cheyanne Garcia; and the beloved "Memaw"; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Dr. John Chung officiating.
Burial will be at Dunnagan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Oliver, Mitch Oliver, Jim Cambron, Randy Carroll and Billy Medlin.
Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
