Cochran, Kathryn Childers (Dalton)

Kathryn Childers Cochran, 88, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016.

She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Jessie Roberts Childers; and was also preceded in death by her sisters, Polly Perkins and Willie Frances (Bill) McCamy; and brother, Marvin Childers.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dalton and enjoyed a long career in banking at First National Bank of Dalton.

Kathryn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Martin Blanchard of Dalton; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23 at First Baptist Church of Dalton with the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from noon until 2 prior to the service in the atrium of the church. Burial will be in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family asks that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Dalton, P.O. Box 827, Dalton, Georgia 30722.
