  • Friday, August 19, 2016
A 13-year-old Chattanooga cook has made it to the Food Network.

Joshua Lefkoff, a seventh grader at Baylor School, will be on the network's Chopped Jr on Sept. 13 at 8 p.m.

His mother, Rebecca Lefkoff said Joshua has been cooking since he was very small.

She said, "He has taken classes and camps everywhere they have been offered.

"His mentor is Amanda Varnell at Dish t'Pass.
She spent many afternoons after school helping him prepare for the program. He went through a long and arduous audition process for the show last year."

When he was asked to be on the show, the family traveled to New York City in April of last year to tape the program.
