Cockburn, Byrnie Lynn (Cleveland)

Byrnie Lynn Cockburn, 69,  of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away early Thursday morning, July 28, 2016 at Erlanger Medical Center.

She was born in Cookville, TN on Aug. 9, 1946 to the late Cecil & Elise Richards. Byrnie worked for many years at the Coast to Coast on Spring Place Road and was currently employed at the Walmart South in Cleveland, TN. Her great joy was attending her grandchildren's sporting events. 

Byrnie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 45 plus years Charlie Cockburn; two daughters and their spouses, Lori & Greg Stafford and Christie & Terry McElhaney; three grandchildren Bryan Stafford of Bury St. Edmunds England, Ryan McElhaney and Kyndall McElhaney; one great-granddaughter Hayleigh Stafford; three sisters Carol Miller of Virginia, Beth Watkins (Charlie) of Alabama and Angela Coleman (Eddie) of Athens, TN; two special nieces Maria Gilley (Michael) and Celina Pastrana; and numerous other extended family members, co-workers and special friends. 

A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, July 30 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN.

The family will receive friends in the funeral home parlor from 5-7 p.m. service time. 

Companion Funeral Home and the Cody family are honored to assist the Cockburn family with her arrangements.
