Thelma Evrett Legg, 95, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in a Chattanooga Hospital.
She was a member of New Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She played the piano at church since the age of 14. Thelma enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Legg; parents, Joseph Ransom and Lillie Trotter Evrett; and siblings, R.L. Evrett and Juanita Kile.
She is survived by her son, Joe Legg and wife, Judy of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Jeff Legg (Julie Ann) and Julie Grant (Kevin); great-grandchildren, Tyler Meroney, Eli Legg and Presley Legg; and sister, Carrie Lee Ramsey.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Sam Melton officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Jeff Legg, Eli Legg, Tyler Meroney, Kevin Grant, Jerry Evrett and Kenneth Ramsey serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
