The National Federation of Independent Business, endorsed 28 legislative candidates on Thursday for the Aug. 4 Primary in Tennessee. Representative Mike Carter was among these legislators earning the endorsement of NFIB for his stance and positions on small business issues.
After receiving the endorsement, Rep. Carter said, “Small businesses are the cornerstone of our community. We continue to cut regulations within government, and enrich the environment of entrepreneurs and small business owners alike.
Tennessee led the nation in job growth over the last year, and I will do everything within my power to see that the trend continues.”
The endorsements were made by NFIB/Tennessee SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members. Jim Brown, state director of NFIB/Tennessee said, “NFIB stands with candidates who support small businesses and who are dedicated to protecting free enterprise. These candidates have a proven track record of defending small businesses and promoting a positive environment for small business.”
NFIB’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on small business issues.
