Margaret Louise Arp Hollingsworth, 90, died on Sunday, July 24, 2016 in a local health care facility.

 A native and lifelong resident of Rossville, Miss Margaret, as she was known by many, was a member of the Wallaceville Baptist Church, where she spent many years working with the shut-ins and the tape ministry.  Margaret was a graduate of Rossville High School.  She worked at Peerless Woolen Mills in the 50s, Mountain View Elementary Cafeteria in the 60s and Crystal Springs Print Works in the 70s.  Margaret had a wonderful sense of humor and was always making people smile. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy F. Hollingsworth, her parents, Harold and Mary Arp, four brothers, Harold Arp, Roy Arp, Lebron Arp, and George Arp; and one sister, Willie Mae Hall.

Survivors include children, Mary (Ira) Corbin, Rossville, Pat (Joe) Galyon, Ringgold,  and Jim (Cheryl) Hollingsworth, Dacula, Ga; four grandchildren, Roni (Atlee) Yarrow, Jacksonville, Fla, Jeffery (Teresa) Corbin, Atlanta, Ga, Sherri (Tim) Hamm, Chattanooga, and Larry (Renee) Galyon, Ringgold; and five great-grandchildren, Alex Corbin, Morgan Hiu, Meaghan Hiu, Lindsay Galyon, and Ava Galyon; one brother, Ray (Lila) Arp Chattanooga; two sisters; Mickey Toler, Downers Grove Ill, Frances Dunn, Rossville; several nieces and nephews.  

The family would like to send their deepest appreciation to North Georgia Hospice and the staff at Mary and Martha’s Personal Care for their care and compassion during Mrs. Hollingsworth’s illness.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 27, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Michael Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 26, from 4–8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville
