Bana Gloria Collett Clough, 93, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, July 19, 2016 in a local health care facility.
She was born in Cleveland, TN on Aug. 3, 1922 a daughter of the late Henry & Mary Collett. She was of the Christian faith. Bana loved to play rook and bingo. However, she took the greatest pleasure in spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Clough; two daughters, Gloria Lipps and Virginia Stutz; one grandson, Brad Stutz; and six siblings.
She is survived by one son, Harry Trewhitt; one daughter-in-law, Wilma Trewhitt; two sons-in-law, Robert Lipps & Charles Stutz; six grandchildren, Kim Trewhitt, Kristin Neely, Jeff Lipps, Matthew Lipps, Amanda Gatlin and Chad Stutz; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous other extended family members and special friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, July 23 at 4 p.m. at the Prospect United Presbyterian Church located at 310 New Murraytown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Sam Melton and the Reverend Butch Hullendar officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Matthew Lipps, Jeff Lipps, Chad Stutz, Dexter Collett, Brent Collett and Danny Hawkins serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2-4 p.m.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Gloria Lipps Scholarship Fund established at Cleveland State Community College Foundation in memory of Ms. Clough.
