Smith, Kathy Castello (Cleveland)

Kathy Castello Smith59, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 in a Chattanooga hospital.  

She was a member of Community Hall Church.  Kathy was a well known Southern gospel singer and was with The Seekers for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Madeline Hackney Castello.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, William Smith of Cleveland; children, Brad Byrum of Ooltewah and Candice Byrum of San Francisco, CA; three grandchildren, Ethan Byrum, Ayden Byrum and Anna Byrum; two brothers, Steve Castello and Barry Castello, both of Cleveland; and sister, Robin Castello of Jacksonville, FL.

The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Jeannie Cissom and other ministers officiating.  Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, July 23 from 4-8 p.m. and on Sunday, July 24 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
