Edith Weeks Manley, 86, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Marvin C. Manley; parents, Calvin G. and Della McDaris Weeks; brothers, Ernest, Earl, Jack, and Glenn Weeks; sister, Ellen Hawkins; and nephews, David Weeks and Gary Hawkins.
She attended ChristChurch Presbyterian and was retired from Hamilton Medical Center after 30 years of service.
She is survived by two daughters and a sons-in-law, Linda and Rodney Hornbuckle and Judy and S.G. Elliott, all of Dalton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe Weeks of Ringgold; Paul and Mary Lee Weeks of Dalton and Ed and Brenda Weeks of Dalton; grandchildren, Shane and Elizabeth Hornbuckle, Brandi and Chris Holloway, Andrea and Danny Sappenfield, Scott and Tasha Elliott and John Elliott; great-grandchildren, Brent, John and Sarah Hornbuckle, Matthew, Andrew and Ryan Holloway, Catie Sappenfield, Emerson, Bailey, Hailey, Trevor and Chase Elliott; great-great-grandchild, Caroline Hornbuckle; nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, July 22, at 1 p.m. at the ChristChurch Presbyterian with Rev. Dr. William Dudley officiating. Entombment will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 21 from 6-9 p.m.
