Richard Andrews
Richard Henry Andrews, Sr., 83, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, July 18, 2016 in a local hospital.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Andrews, Sr.; brothers, Charles Andrews, Jr. and William Andrews.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Andrews; son, Richard Andrews, II, of Chicago, IL; daughters, Renae Andrews of Chicago, Jacquelyn (Jarvis, Sr.) Appleberry of Chattanooga and Regina Davenport; grandchildren, Michael (Jameekah) Bowling, Sr., Jarvis Appleberry, Jr., Richard Andrews, III, Nyles Andrews, Gabriel Andrews, and Jackson Andrews; great-grandchildren, Charles Fleming, Brooklyn Bowling, and Michael Bowling, Jr.; brother, Michael (Mary) Andrews of San Diego, CA; sisters, Shirley Russell and Carol Carter, both of Alsip, IL; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Monday, July 25, after 9:30 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at noon in the chapel with Pastor Oscar Lockhart as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
