Bike Chattanooga Celebrates 4 Years Of Operations

  • Wednesday, July 20, 2016

The City of Chattanooga’s Bike Chattanooga Bicycle Transit System invites the public to help celebrate its fourth year of operations in the Scenic City with a celebration at Lululemon Athletica in Warehouse Row on Friday from 5-7 p.m.

The community is invited to join Bike Chattanooga, Lululemon, GreenTrips, Electric Bike Specialist, and Chattanooga Photo Booth at Lululemon Athelitica in Warehouse Row for refreshments, giveaways, a game of cornhole, fun photos, and a slow roll contest to help celebrate Bike Chattanooga’s fourth birthday.

Lululemon will be awarding one non-member with an annual membership to Bike Chattanooga while Bike Chattanooga will recognize the top male and female riders with a variety of prizes.  Bike Chattanooga along with the City of Chattanooga will also share news about future bike stations and growth.

Officials said birthday milestones since July 23, 2012 launch include: 764,130 miles traveled, 2,942 annual members, 81,265 casual members, 32,857,590 calories burned, 519,608 CO2 saved, and 33 Bike Share Stations.

Bike Chattanooga offers locals and visitors a variety of membership options including 24-Hour Access Passes for $8, 3-day Access Passes for $15, and Annual Memberships for $50. A Corporate and Community Partnership program allows businesses and organizations to subsidize memberships to employees at a reduced rate while helping to encourage health and wellness in the work place. Current Bike Chattanooga Community Partners are Playcore, Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, Chambliss, Bohner, and Stophel, and the City of Chattanooga.

Conference Memberships allow event organizers to offer attendees access to the network for only $20 per membership. More information on all membership types may be found on www.bikechattanooga.com/pricing. Businesses and organizations also have the opportunity to sponsor free Bike Chattanooga days during downtown community events such as Ironman Chattanooga, RiverRocks, and the Head of the Hooch.
