Andrew Smith, who started a foundation to aid wounded warriors after losing his legs in Afghanistan, said he and his wife, Tori, have decided to adopt a child.

The couple said, "We are praying that a birth mother will select us and we can bring a baby into our home.

"Please pray for us as we start this journey. Pray that the right birth mother will see this or finds us through our attorney.

"If you can help us spread the word, we would be extremely grateful.

"God is so good."

The Smiths will also host the third Annual American Heroes Dinner featuring LTC Allen West.

The speaker is a political commentator, former member of the United States House of Representatives, and retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel.

It will be July 15 at 7 p.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center, Ballrooms E,F,G.
