Man Shot Thursday Morning On Wilson Street

Chattanooga Police responded to 101 block of W. 38th Street on the report of a shooting shortly after 10 Thursday morning. There police located one victim suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

The victim reported being shot at the 4800 block of Wilson Street. The victim drove himself from the scene of the incident to the Bethlehem Center at 101 W. 38th St. There the victim asked a store clerk to contact police and waited for them to arrive.  

Police said other than being the location where the victim chose to wait for police The Bethlehem Center is not at all associated with this incident.

The victim was uncooperative with Hamilton County EMS and refused to be transported to a local hospital. The victim was later convinced to seek medical treatment for his injuries and was transported to a local hospital by a Chattanooga police officer.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored Nissan Altima.  The Nissan Altima reportedly has aftermarket rims.

Chattanooga Violent Crimes Bureau Investigators are following all actionable leads. The Chattanooga Police Department asks anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423-698-2525.
