D’Marquis Bell
Jamarcus Davis told police that as he drove into the parking lot in the 2200 block of East 26th Street, a driver in a Silver Dodge Durango opened fire into his vehicle. The victim was shot twice in the left leg and once in the right, officers said.
The incident occurred at about 7 p.m. on Monday.
After getting a description of both the vehicle and the driver, police said they located a match, with the suspect wearing the exact same clothing.
They said video from inside East Lake Courts was reviewed, and it was determined that D’Marquis Bell was the individual who shot into the victim’s vehicle.
Bell, who was out on bond for the charge of contraband in a penal institution, was arrested Tuesday on charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, felony reckless endangerment, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
His bond is set at $579,000.
