Thelma  C.  Brown,  88,  of  LaFayette, Georgia, passed  away  Saturday, June 25, 2016.

She  was  born  on  Nov. 30, 1927  in  Trion,  GA  to  the  late  Winston  Alton  McDonald  and  Margaret  Williams  McDonald.  She  was  a  member  of  the  New  Bethel  Baptist  Church  in  Trion,  and  retired  as  a  sewer  at  LaFayette  Manufacturing.

She  was  preceded  in  death  by  her  husband  of  54  years,  Fred  Brown;  and brothers,  Dub  McDonald,  Jim  McDonald  and  Gene  McDonald.

She is survived  by her daughter,  Dianne  Headrick;  sister,  Kathryn  McDonald,  Dean  (Joe)  Cox   and  Frances  (Joe)  Payton;  grandchildren,  Greg  (Kelly)  Headrick  and  Chip  (Stephanie)  Headrick;  great-grandchildren,  Lane  Headrick  and  Gracie  Headrick;  and several  nieces  and  nephews.

Funeral  from  the  Wilbanks  Memorial  Chapel  Tuesday,  June 28 at 4 p.m.  with  Pastor  John  Eldridge  officiating. Pallbearers  are  Chip  Headrick,  Randy  McDonald,  Rex  McDonald,  Darryl  Payton,  Brian  Payton,  Tim  Fulmer  and  Kevin  Payton. Interment will occur  in  Littlejohn  Cemetery.

Family  will  receive  friends  at  the  funeral  home  Tuesday  from  2 p.m.  until  service  time.

Arrangements  are  by  Wallis-Wilbanks  Funeral  Home,  LaFayette.
