Thomas Ras Cooley, 70, of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Ancle and Agnes Henry Cooley; infant grandchild, Tasha Higgins; infant sister, Elzada Cooley; brother, Jessie Ancle Cooley, Jr.; niece, Cathy Jo Cooley; and nephew, Stephen Cooley.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Geneva Jane Burgess Cooley; two daughters, Janet Meshelle (Danny Atterton) Higgins and Rachael Gail (Bo) Nunley; grandchildren, Austin Nunley, Connor Nunley and Ashley Higgins; sisters, Leona (Kay) Minton and Connie Cooley Easterly; and brothers, Charles, Carl, Rickey, Lawrence and Dennis Cooley.
Family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. CST on Saturday, June 25 and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. CST on Sunday, June 26 .
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. CST on Monday, June 27, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Danny Chance officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery. Military Honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
