A woman on Ivy Street told officers her neighbor, Tirrell Shropshire, 35, fired a pistol at her and her dog at her home on Tuesday. Police said Shropshire is a Bounty Hunter Blood associate and a convicted felon.

The woman said she had let her dog off the leash for a few minutes when Shropshire stepped out of his house and yelled at her, firing one shot in her and her dog’s direction. She told police no one was hit, and the bullet only impacted the dirt, but she went inside her house.

Officers said a spent 9mm bullet casing was found outside the house the victim identified as Shropshire’s. They said the suspect did not answer his door.

Police said the suspect was picked out in a photo lineup and taken into custody on Wednesday with charges of aggravated assault and felon in possession of a firearm.

Shropshire has an extensive criminal record. In 2013, he was convicted of aggravated burglary and given a three-year sentence.
