McCarthy Building Companies And Erlanger Volunteers Help With Hospital Renovations

  • Thursday, June 23, 2016

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., with help from local subcontractors and volunteers from Erlanger Health System staff and patients, are bringing a new life to the Oncology Center at Erlanger Baroness campus.

McCarthy Building Companies Inc. general contractor for the $50 million expansion of Erlanger East Hospital, chooses at least one service project each year to give back to the community through their “Heart Hats” program. When executives from McCarthy learned that the “Healing Garden” at Erlanger’s Oncology Center, a space designed to bring inspiration to patients undergoing therapy and treatments, was in need of rejuvenation, the company was more than happy to help.

Over the two-day construction period, volunteers were able to provide the HealingGarden with new landscaping, additional seating, a water fountain, and a small bridge over the drain basin to make the area handicap accessible.

Erlanger Health System and the Arts at Erlanger Committee appreciate the diligent work of the project volunteers and McCarthy Building Companies.
