Planning Commission Recommends Approval For 246 Apartments In Lookout Valley

  • Monday, June 13, 2016

Developer Tommy Austin said an apartment project on a hill by the freeway in Lookout Valley will have 246 units.

It will be near a water tower that is near the Cummings Highway exit of I-24.

He said access to the development will be via Cummings Highway or Francis Street.

But he said the project will be at least 100 feet away from Francis Street.

Building height will not be over four stories.

Mr. Austin said it will be an "upscale" development.

John Sullivan said nearby Kellys Ferry Road is a very narrow, windy and hilly road and could not take much additional traffic.

He said neighbors he has spoken to are opposed to the project.
