Free Family Movies Play At The Historic Ringgold Depot This Summer

  • Friday, May 6, 2016

The Ringgold Convention and Visitors Bureau will be hosting free, family friendly movies at the Historic Ringgold Depot in Downtown Ringgold beginning Tuesday, June 7, and lasting until Tuesday, July 26, at 11 a.m.

Rhonda Johnson, Ringgold’s Main Street manager, said that she began receiving calls as early as April about the event from area families wanting to know if movies will be available again this summer. "Yes, we will be offering free kids movies at the Depot Tuesday at 11 a.m. and lasting until about 1:30 p.m.” she said.

The first film for the summer series will be “How to Train Your Dragon”, with updates on the full movie listing posed on the Depot’s Facebook page and the city of Ringgold’s website.

City Manager Dan Wright said the movie series gives a perfect reason for families to spend the day in Ringgold.  “Afterwards, we hope they will take a little time, get a bite to eat on one of our hometown eateries, then go shopping in our unique shops and make a day in Ringgold that will be a memory for the whole family,” he said.
