PREVIEW
"It's bittersweet for the seniors," head coach Frank Reed stated. "Playing at home, they'll probably have a lot of extra people out there to watch them play. For them, it's their last opportunity to play at this level at home."

The five seniors have compiled two Southern Conference Tournament crowns and one regular season title, while making two NCAA appearances throughout their tenure at Chattanooga.

"It's Senior Weekend, so obviously we want to play well," commented Reed. "Hopefully it's an inspiration for them to do that."

UTC is 27-25 and 6-9 in conference play.

"We've been spotty," Reed said. "If we play anywhere close to what we're capable of, then we should have a really good weekend. We have to put some consistency across the board to find a way to be successful."

Freshman Amanda Beltran had a strong performance last weekend. In the Mocs first matchup with UNCG, Beltran came into the game in the fifth inning and hit a grand slam on her first at bat. She added her fifth home run with a two-run homer in the final game against the Spartans.

The Mocs lead the all-time series 20-3. Chattanooga swept the Bucs on March 28-29, 2015 in Johnson City, Tenn., winning 11-0, 5-2 and 5-4.

ETSU is 18-19 and 7-8 in SoCon action. The Bucs fell to Virginia Tech 2-0 on Tuesday and lost their series with UNCG and Samford 2-1 in the past two weekends.

On April 18, ETSU swept the conference weekly honors. Bethany Cowart was named Player of the Week after batting in five to lead the squad to an 11-7 victory and 2-1 series win against Mercer. Lindsey Fadnek earned Pitcher of the Week, tossing complete games in both of the Bucs wins over the Bears.
