Jane Beene
Jane Reed Beene, 61, currently of East Ridge, Tennessee, died at her home with her loving husband, Derreck Beene, by her side.
Born May 19, 1954 to the late Dot and Bob Reed of Rossville, Jane was a devoted mother and wife who loved her family dearly. She was a Class of 1972 Rossville High School graduate. Jane worked as a medical transcriptionist and later as an inter-library loan coordinator at UTC and was a longtime member of the O.L.P.H. Catholic Church.
Jane’s genuine passions in life were God and her family. Her sincerity and consideration shone through in everything Jane did for them, from her love to her gifts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Kathleen Beene; niece, Jennifer Fugate; and father-in-law, Bob Beene.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Derreck Beene; daughters and son-in-law Heather and Philip Booker and Megan Beene; cherished grandchildren Emma, Keffor, Cullum, and Sullivan Booker; sister and brother-in-law Debbie and David Fugate; brother, Scott Reed; mother-in-law Barbara Beene; aunt, Kitty Fountain and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 9, at 11 a.m. at O.L.P.H. Catholic Church with Father Mike Nolan officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 7, from 3-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
