George “Bud” Truitt Dover, 70, of Ormond Beach, Florida, died on Friday April 29, 2016.
A native of Ringgold, Georgia, Bud has lived in the Ormond Beach, area for the past 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce where he served during the Vietnam War, was an employee of H.J.B. Construction in Charleston, S.C. where he worked for eight years as project superintendent, and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Clifton and Mary Alice Orr Dover; and brother, Johnny Dover.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jackie Arnold Dover of Ormond Beach, FL.; three children, Gregory Dover of Ormond Beach, FL., Celena Heine (Jeremy) of Tampa, FL., and Andy Dover (Mary) of Houston, TX.; sister, Mary Linda Cox of Dalton, GA.; brother, Steve Dover (Diane) of Hixson, TN,; four grandchildren, Gracie McNulty, Trinity Heine, Aiden Dover and Jadalynn Dover; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, May 6, 2016 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Dennis Chambers officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 5, from 4-8 p.m. and until funeral time on Friday, at the funeral home.
