The community is invited to a celebrate culture at Eastbrook Middle School’s 2nd Annual Latino Festival.
The festival, scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, will include games and activities for all ages including: traditional, contemporary, Mariachi, and Andina music as well as the Eastbrook Band; folklore dance groups; $2 picture booth with funds going to Parent Resource Center; booths of community organizations and businesses; and guest speakers including Mr. Jerry Gonzalez, director of the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials (GALEO).
GALEO will have a voter registration booth. If you plan on registering, bring any one of these acceptable forms of identification:
- Any valid state or federal government issued photo ID
- A Georgia driver’s icense, even if expired
- Valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity of this state
- Valid U.S. passport ID
- Valid U.S. military photo ID
- Valid tribal photo ID
Eastbrook Middle students will also attend to play music, give speeches, and display their artwork. Lunch will be available along with pin~atas and activities for children.
