The Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon, Inc., Community Fund made a $2,500 donation to the Orange Grove Center.

The Orange Grove Center is a resource for community adults and children who have intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This Chattanooga organization recognizes, supports and celebrates the qualities of this individual. The Orange Grove Center seeks to maximize the potential of each individual, in turn making them a productive member of the community, said officials. This Community Fund donation will provide opportunities to introduce Orange Grove to new and potential community partners. It provides the organization the means to share Orange Grove’s story, and the challenges that people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities face daily.

Barge Waggoner’s Chattanooga office has partnered with the Orange Grove Center to increase awareness throughout the southeast Tennessee and northwest Georgia. The organization was also a spring 2015 Community Fund recipient.

The BWSC Community Fund was established by the employees at Barge Waggoner to assist in carrying out the company’s spirit of giving back to the communities where its employees live and work. This fund seeks to support charitable organizations which promote the wellbeing of children, the elderly, and those in financial need. In addition, the BWSC Community Fund also recognizes those organizations that advance the interests of society in the areas of health and wellness, education and workforce development.
