James Nappier
James “Jim” Franklin Nappier, 73, of Flintstone, Georgia, formerly of Rainsville, Alabama, died on Saturday, May 28, 2016at Hospice of Chattanooga in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He was a school bus driver for the Walker County Schools after retiring from Combustion in 1994. He was an active and devoted member of the New Haven Baptist Church, 1962 class president of the Sylvania High School, and a Boy Scout Master having earned the Silver Beaver Award.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Ruby Nappier; two brothers and six sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Nappier; daughter, Kara (Matt) Slater of Rainsville, AL; sons, Mike (Fran) Nappier of Henagar, AL, Lamar (Sharon) Nappier of Ider, AL, and Jonathon (Anna) Nappier of Rainsville, AL; grandchildren, Kayti (Hank) Sanders, Trey (Kaylee) Nappier, Tyler Nappier, Kelbi Nappier, Cain Nappier, Kathan Slater, and Aaron Nappier; great-grandchildren Elijah Nappier and Addison Sanders; step-children, Tammy (Lynn) Ketner and Shannon (Renee) Arthur of Ringgold, GA; sisters, Vivian Petit, Patricia Blackmore, and Sylvia Wolford.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Broom officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
