Ariane Tipton, 53, of Dalton, GA, died on Friday, May 27, 2016, surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Jenkins; father-in-law, Arnell Tipton; mother-in-law, Shirley Tipton Amelunke; and grandmother, Ovlie Jenkins.
Ariane was born in Dominica, Sept. 17, 1962 with the sun shining bright feeling the Caribbean breeze in their million-dollar grass hut. She was chosen by Baptist Missionaries Robert and Nancy Jenkins. She was an avid romance novel reader, soap opera watcher, 80’s dancer, green thumb magician, entrepreneur hair stylist, herbal healer, out spoken spunky, beer drinker kind of woman, who was loved and hated by many.
She is survived by her soulmate of almost 34 years, Jimbo AKA James Tipton; her children, Angel Baby AKA Angel Weldon and Rodney Smith and their two children, Brayden and Dravon Weldon, Lil’ Bit AKA Allana Tipton and Keith Stancill and their two children, Aspen Tipton-Williams and Bryan Stancill; her mom, Nancy Jenkins; brothers, Ricky Jenkins and Robbie Jenkins; sister, Luanne Hurst; sisters-in-law, Donna Morace, Lori Burchard, Misty Tipton and Mindy Burts; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebratory service Sunday, May 29, at 2 p.m. at the Ponders Melrose Chapel.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday.
