One person was thrown from a car and seriously injured in an accident early Friday morning.

Chattanooga Police traffic investigators were dispatched to a single-car motor vehicle crash at 3:20 a.m. Friday on I75 at the Highway 153 interchange.

The investigation revealed that the accident was the result of an abrupt maneuver made by the driver of the vehicle (2015 Audi Q5) in an attempt to exit I75 north bound onto Highway 153 northbound.

This caused the vehicle to lose control and overturn multiple times.

A passenger inside the vehicle was unrestrained and suffered serious injuries when he was thrown from the vehicle. The passenger was transported to a local hospital by HCEMS.

The driver was identified as Jeremy Miller, Male, 30, and the passenger as Joshua Miller, 25

This investigation is ongoing and further information will be released as it becomes available.
