The Voices of Lee will perform at Riverbend for the festival’s Faith and Family Night on Tuesday, June 14, at 5:30 p.m. in Chattanooga.
The Voices of Lee, a 15-member A Capella ensemble from Lee University, will be a headlining act that evening, performing on one of the main stages located in Riverfront Park. Other artists headlining Faith and Family Night include Hawk Nelson, Building 429, and For King and Country.
“We are excited to be a part of Riverbend 2016,” said Danny Murray, director of Voices.
“What a great event.”
"Celebrating more than 20 years of touring, the Voices of Lee has captivated audiences worldwide. The group is characterized by its unique variety of vocal harmonies, high energy patriotic numbers, along with heartfelt worship favorites.
The group was propelled into the international spotlight on the debut season of NBC’s Sing-Off, a competition of A Cappella groups. Out of thousands of auditions, Voices of Lee was selected as one of eight groups to compete and was featured on four prime-time NBC network episodes. After nationwide voting, Voices finished as second runner-up in the Sing-Off. They were also voted one of the favorite groups by the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America. Most recently, they were invited by the Chinese government as featured performers at the Shang Hai International Music Festival," officials said.
In addition to the concert, Voices of Lee and staff from Lee’s Office of Admissions will be present to answer questions about the university.
