School Reformist Dr. Tiffany Anderson To Speak In Chattanooga On Education Reform

Dr. Tiffany Anderson will present, Putting Schools at the Center of a Community, at the next Chattanooga 2.0 Talk on June 2 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Dalewood Middle School, located at 1300 Shallowford Road in Chattanooga. This event is free and open to the public. 

Dr. Anderson’s model of bringing community services and connections into schools has been featured on NPR, The Washington Post, and Education Week. 

“The community has shown tremendous support for improving our education and workforce outcomes in Hamilton County. Thousands have participated in events, taken surveys and given their bold ideas,” said Jared Bigham, director of Chattanooga 2.0. “Dr. Anderson has made huge strides in her own district and we’re excited to hear her ideas and how they can benefit our region.”

Dr. Anderson's talk will focus on sharing ideas and methods for helping all students achieve success.

Dr. Tiffany Anderson has been credited with leading a dramatic turnaround of the high­ poverty schools within the Jennings School District in Missouri. As superintendent, Dr. Anderson has focused her efforts on ensuring that students receive the supports they need to overcome barriers related to poverty.
