Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson said the investigation continued Tuesday into an incident Monday night that led to three suspects being charged with felony counts of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery.
The sheriff’s office was first made aware of the situation when contacted by the victim who stated he initially met one of the suspects to give them money to purchase medication, but instead he was assaulted and placed into a vehicle at gunpoint. He also told patrol deputies a debit card was taken out of his wallet and used to withdraw $200 at an ATM.
The victim was later driven back to his vehicle that had been left at a Waterlevel Highway business.
During the investigation detectives charged Cody Wayne Hannah, 23, of Spring Place Road, Lacey Dawn Nicholson, 26, of Spring Place Road, and Anthony Glenn Gann Phelps, 42, of Sim Goodwin Road. Hannah was additionally charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The victim sustained head and leg injuries and was treated at the hospital.
