Glen Copeland
Glenn R. Copeland, 82 of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, May 22, 2016.
Glenn was born in Lakeland, Fl., and moved to Chattanooga as a young child.
He was a long-term member of Highland Park Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, was on various financial committees, and was a Teens for Christ Sunday School teacher. Most recently, he was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church and Greg Bolton’s class.
Glenn graduated from Chattanooga Central High and received his law degree from the University of Tennessee. He practiced law for over 40 years until he retired in 2015. Glenn also taught Business Law at Tennessee Temple University.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dale, and his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. D.Y. Copeland.
Glenn loved his family and many friends. He was a very generous and Godly man and an avid Christ follower. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Copeland; son, Rodger (Marilyn) Copeland ; daughter, Debbie (Don) Maddox; brothers, David (Mary) Copeland , and Tom (Carol) Copeland; grandchildren, Brandon (Meredith) Maddox and Susanne (Greg) Phillips.
Services will be held on Friday, May 27, at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Chuck Patrick and Reverend Gus Hernandez, Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with Craig Carter, Carson Carter, Cameron Carter, Jonathan Copeland, Clay Copeland and Will Copeland serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 26, from 4–8 p.m. and Friday, from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
