Lillie McKamey, 86, of Rossville, Georgia, formerly of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, May 22, 2016.
She was born January 14, 1930 in Chattanooga to the late George and Janie Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, James K. McKamey; great-grandson, Ryan Campbell; siblings Viola, Ernest, James and Edith.
Mrs. McKamey was very active in the American Legion Post 159. She volunteered at the veteran’s clinic and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Donald (Yvonne) Campbell, T. Wayne (Carol) McKamey, and Michael R. (Mary Ann) McKamey; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 27, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Ronald Ragon officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 26, from 5-7 p.m. and Friday, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
