Jackson, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals exploded for five runs in the seventh inning Saturday night, downing the Lookouts, 5-2, in front of a season-best 5,606 fans at The Ballpark at Jackson.

Down 2-0, Jackson (25-17) rallied for five runs on six hits in the seventh against David Hurlbut (2-3, 4.66) against Luke Westphal.

Guillermo Heredia led the way with four hits, including the go-ahead RBI single in the seventh.

Marcus Littlewood and Zach Shank hit consecutive doubles to start the rally, with Shank's two-bagger putting Jackson on the board. The Generals tied the game thanks to an error by Chattanooga's T.J. White.

Hurlbut, who threw six scoreless frames to start, was knocked out of the game after a bunt single by Benji Gonzalez. Heredia put the Generals in front with an RBI single. D.J. Peterson and Time Lopes added run-scoring base hits to put Jackson on top 5-2.

All told, the Generals sent 10 to the plate and ended a stretch of 12-straight games without scoring more than four runs.

The bullpen did its job after Jackson took the lead, getting scoreless frames from Ryan Horstman and Emilio Pagan. Pagan struck out two in the ninth to earn his sixth save in as many opportunities.

Jordan Pries got the start and was removed after five stellar innings for Jackson. The righty struck out one and allowed three hits over five innings without giving up a run.

Shannon Wilkerson led off the sixth with a single and advanced to second on a walk. Travis Harrison later brought in Wilkerson with a single to right to give Chattanooga a 1-0 lead.

The Lookouts extended their edge to 2-0 in the seventh despite not recording a hit. T.J. White manufactured a run when he was hit by a pitch, stole second, advanced to third on a groundout and scored on an error by first baseman D.J. Peterson.

Edwin Diaz (3-3, 2.57) picked up his first win in relief this season.

The Generals tied a season-best with 14 hits, with Heredia leading the way. The Cuban outfielder went 4-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a walk and a run scored while reaching base five times.

Seven of nine Generals recorded a hit, and five had at least two in the victory.

Jackson looks make it two in a row Sunday afternoon with RHP Sam Gaviglio (2-2, 4.68) on the hill against RHP Aaron Slegers (2-4, 4.37) on the mound for Chattanooga.
