Anna Mae Collins, 87, of Birchwood, Tennessee, passed away at her home Thursday May 19, 2016.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She always had a beautiful smile for everyone and her greatest joy was her family. She loved working in the yard and her garden reaping its rewards.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Wallace Collins; her son, Wally; daughter, Deborah; parents, J.W. and Pearl Smith; her sisters, Wilma Burger, Dorothy Parker and Thelma Smith; and her brothers, Herman, Tillman and John Lewis Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Cartwright and her husband Jerry; grandson, Nathan Cartwright; great-grandson, Matthew Cartwright all of Birchwood;step-grandson, Lee Cartwright and his wife Tiffany of Rossville; her brother, J.C. Smith of Birchwood; several nieces and nephews; and an unlimited number of friends.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 23 at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Pastor Steve Miller officiating. The interment will follow in McInturf Cemetery with Dickie Collins, Michael Smith, Neal Smith, Perry Collins, Gary Collins and Mike Tatum serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 22 from 4-8 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
