Please Give A Teacher The Pat On The Back They Deserve

  • Monday, May 2, 2016
I'd like to start off by introducing myself to my District 1 constituents. I'm Jason Moses, and I would love to earn your vote. I hope you feel, like so many others, that I'm the best candidate to replace our current school board representative. There are currently three of us running for District 1 school board representative. I'm the best choice to to represent us on the school board.

Tuesday, as you may or may not know, is Teacher Appreciation Day.
Please go out and give a teacher the pat on the back they deserve. Our children are our future, there's no denying that. Teachers are the ones who help us, as parents, guide and mold our children's futures. They work hard and go above and beyond their pay scale. More often than not, they are digging into their own pockets when the "classroom budget" is exceeded.

I feel that teaching is an under appreciated profession. I also feel it's taken for granted by many parents, members of the community, and most importantly their governing school board. Being a teacher is a sacrifice. They don't do it for the money and often, it's a thankless job. They don't do it for the benefits. They do it to help our children.

As the husband to a local school teacher I can tell you the following. It's hard to beat the smile on my wife Jill's face when she sees one of her former students grown up and successful. The sense of accomplishment and joy is really quite overwhelming.
