Phyllis Cosper 85, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away late Sunday evening May 1, 2016 in a local hospital.
Phyllis was retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Chattanooga, was a graduate of Davis High School Class of “48”, and was a member of White Oak Baptist Church.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Cosper; parents, Lewis W. and Nora Benefield Gaddis; sisters, Sarah Smith and Reba Gaddis; and brother, Joe Gaddis.
Survivors include her daughters, Ava(Eddie)Carter of Trenton, GA and Gena (Greg) Forester of Trenton, GA; sons, Bob Cosper and Joe (Tina) Cosper of Trenton, GA; sisters, Gerry (Ed )Saylor of Murfreesboro, TN and Donna (Terry) Robinson of Bryant, AL; brother, David Gaddis of Bryant, AL; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m Wednesday, May 4, in the Chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Trivette and Rev. Lonnie Denney officiating. Interment will follow in Brown’s Gap Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3 from 2-8 p.m. and Wednesday, May 4 from 10-11 a.m. at the Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, who has charge of the arrangements.
