Less than 24 hours after steamrolling the Lookouts 12-0 on Saturday night, the Biscuits bats were silenced by Aaron Slegers (2-1), as the 6'10" right-hander shutout the Biscuits 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in Chattanooga.

Slegers eight inning performance was his longest in 11 career Double-A starts and was the longest outing by a Lookouts pitcher this year.  The right-hander also now leads the the team in innings pitched at 31 and has induced a team-high nine double plays.

Ryne Stanek (0-4) was making his fifth start of the season for the Biscuits, and the former Arkansas Razorback pitched well going a season-high seven innings, striking out seven and allowing just four hits.

Slegers got all the help he needed in the bottom of the first inning when Mitch Garver singled home Zach Granite who led off the inning with a single up the middle.  Along with having the team's only RBI of the day Garver also threw out his seventh base runner of the year.  His seven caught stealings are the second most in the Southern League.

Up 1-0 the Lookouts cruised the rest of the way.  J.T.
Chargois relieved Slegers in the ninth and earned his fifth save of the season.

Monday is the rubber match of the series and features RHP Ryan Eades against LHP Chris Kirsch.  Gates for tomorrow's game is set for 6:00 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
