Oliver Lee Phillips, 84, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away early Friday morning April 29, 2016.
Rev. Phillips was a long standing Church of God Pastor, gospel singer, and local barber. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and a great comforter to the broken hearted.
Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents Lonny and Sadenia Bowman Phillips; three brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Waveolee Stephens Phillips of Trenton, GA; children, Wonda (Earl) Heard of Sylvania, AL, Donny (Rebecca) Phillips of Gaylesville, AL, Jimmy (Jeanette) Phillips of Cleveland, TN and Mike (Sharon) Phillips of Trenton, GA; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1, in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home. Mr. Phillips will be laid to rest in New Hope Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until service time Sunday at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, who has charge of the arrangements.
