Chattanooga Man Arrested For Aggravated Robbery On 5th Ave.

Toriq Quinn Johnson, Jr. was arrested for aggravated robbery on Thursday..


Police were notified of a robbery that occurred on 4010 5th Ave. on Wednesday. They spoke with Christopher Worley, who said that earlier that day he was in front of his residence when Johnson drove up and asked him if he wanted to buy some pills. He said he told Johnson no and Johnson drove off.

Worley said that later he walked to the store, and Johnson drove by and offered him a ride home. He said he accepted the ride and, when they arrived at his residence on 4010 5th Ave., both he and Johnson got out of the vehicle.


He said Johnson asked him to look at his speakers in the vehicle's trunk and, while he was looking at the speakers, Johnson stuck him, knocking him to the ground. He said that Johnson continued to kick him and took money out of his pockets before getting back in the vehicle and leaving the scene.


The victim said he walked to his father's house and collapsed once inside, which is when the police were called.


Police said that the victim's right eye was bruised and swollen shut and that a couple of teeth were knocked out of his mouth. They located the suspect, who goes by “Q”, at 3900 5th Ave. Police said that after an interview and photo lineup, Johnson was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
