Junior League Of Chattanooga Hosts Kids In The Kitchen April 23

Junior League of Chattanooga (JLC) will host Kids in the Kitchen April 23 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Highland Parks Commons. The event will promote healthy living and an active lifestyle. Attendees will be taught healthy meal and snack recipes they can later make at home for their families. The event is free and open to the public.

 In 2006, 228 members of the Association of Junior Leagues International Inc. (AJLI) launched the Junior League’s Kids in the Kitchen program.

Kids in the Kitchen was started to address the problems associated with childhood obesity and poor nutrition. To date it has reached thousands of children with hands-on activities that help empower them to adopt healthy habits
