1st Annual BBQ Festival And Competition Set For July 9 At Virginia College

Chattanooga's first annual BBQ Festival and Competition is being held Saturday, July 9, at Virginia College.

This unique event celebrates all BBQ cooks from pros to amateurs. The event is sponsored by Virginia College and The American Culinary Federation.

Participants can enter and compete for money and prizes in pulled pork, brisket and ribs.  Entry fee is $100 per protein with winners in each category and a grand champion for those participating in all three meat contests.

The popular Owls Nest BBQ Competition Team from Ooltewah has agreed to participate.
