Marty Haynes Can Change The Outdated Practices Of The Past - And Response (2)

  • Tuesday, February 9, 2016

I’m writing this letter in support of electing County Commissioner Marty Haynes as our next assessor of property in Hamilton County.  I have worked on committees with Marty and have been involved in community projects. I have found that when Marty takes on a project, he takes it seriously. He cares about the community and the people he serves.  He also takes on projects with a open mind and a goal of fixing or improving a given situation.

Marty is the only candidate to have identified specific ways to modernize the Assessor’s Office to ensure this “administrative” office is customer-focused, capable of supporting the digital demands from property owners today, and, most important, being responsive to the current and future needs of the residents of Hamilton County. It's important that we have someone who is keeping up with the changes in technology and how we interact with the internet . It's also important that we have someone who can change the outdated practices of the past.

I encourage everyone to join me and vote for Marty Haynes as our next assessor of property.

Marty Hatnes is a politician, and not to be trusted as assessor.  For proof just look at what happened in the situation with the Middle Valley Walmart "Neighborhood Market."  He was all for it, but when it became apparent most of his constituency did not he flipped on that.

But that was a token; he knew the rest of the development-happy low-lifes on the commission would vote it in anyway.

He's not to be trusted as assessor.

I am confused.  Commissioner Haynes is criticised for listening to his constituents before casting a vote?  I appreciate an elected official who actually listens to those who elected him or her before voting - what a great idea.

I am sure serving on the County Commission is not as easy as many people believe.  So when I hear about any commissioner who listens to his or her constituents, that is a positive.  We need more people in elected office who listen and are not resting on their laurels.
