Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. will host the Chattanooga business community to honor and recognize 10 UTC students who have shown dedication and excellence in their studies.
The Stophel Scholars program connects students to leaders in Chattanooga’s business community and a reception will be held Thursday from 5:30-7 p.m. at Chambliss Conference Center, Liberty Tower, 605 Chestnut St. Suite 1700.
The program aims to foster local talent and encourage promising students to build mentor relationships with Chattanooga professionals.
In addition, this annual event honors the legacy of John C. Stophel, a founding member of the firm. Stophel practiced law in the Chattanooga area for more than 50 years and led numerous civic, charitable and religious efforts in the community. Stophel also served as chairman of the University of Chattanooga Foundation Inc. Board of Trustees.
