Jackie Melvin Almon, 64, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016.
He was formerly employed by The LaFayette Roper Plant for 37 years. As one of Jehovahs’ Witnesses, he attended the Local Highland Congregation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Sr. and Cleola Maddux Almon; two sisters, Bethel Carson and Laura Frances McSears; and one brother, Frankie Joe Almon.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Roxie Almon; one brother, Marvin Jr. (Angela) Almon; five sisters, Linda Gail Ware, Annibelle Ward, Lonnie Mae (James) Langston, Shirley Ann (Henry) Hambrick and Alice Joyce (Levan) Covin; special brother-in-law, Charles Carson; loving nephews, Kenneth and Ronald Carson; devoted caregiver and sister-in-law, Gladys Miller; caring friends, Toliver and Carolyn Suttles, Larry and Rita Pickard and Russell Jackson; and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Jackie requested there be no service and his body cremated.
