Alfred E. Porter, 69, died on February 8, 2016.  He attended Riverside High School.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Willie Mae and James Terrell; father, Willie Ed Porter; aunt, Cora Williams; brother, Roger Porter; sisters, Etora Porter and Norma McAfee; granddaughter, Jovida Gantt.

He is survived by two daughters, Ziva D. Gantt Watts, Chattanooga; Regina Austin, Atlanta; five grandchildren, Stephen Hill, Theodore (Tiffany) Sanders, Chattanooga; Yolanda Goodwin, Bre’Ann and Antowne Austin, Atlanta; seventeen great-grandchildren; four devoted great-great-grandchildren, De Aundra, Jamaya and Gabrelle Gant, Theodore Sanders; brothers, Lawrence (Shirley) Porter, Dayton, OH; Marvin Dan Porter, California; sister, Constance Smith, Anchorage, Alaska; two devoted nieces, Brezzell  Harris, Caregiver and Velma Union; dear friends, Freddie Ellison, William Shell, T. Russell and Kwasi Sublette.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, Feb. 13, at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 4401 Ohls Ave., with Elder Delford L. Hughley officiating.
