I worked in the Assessor's Office from 1974 until retiring in 2013. I served in a management position as director of Commercial and Industrial Property from 1980 until retiring. I essentially answered directly to the assessor during the last 33 years of my 39 year career in that office. I had over 42 years of experience in the appraisal business.
Former Chief Deputy and Director of Residential Property Roy Rumfelt told me on numerous occasions that Randy Johnston had more overall ability than anyone in his department. Roy and I were coworkers and good friends for over 40 years and I greatly valued his assessment of the employees in our office.
Randy never worked directly for me but in the last few years that I worked there I got to know him personally and was able to observe his numerous work skills and I was greatly impressed. I saw what Roy was talking about. I worked for three very good assessors during my career and I believe I learned a lot about the operation of the office and what it takes to be a good assessor during those 39 years.
I truly believe that Randy Johnston has the necessary experience and leadership skills to be a good Assessor of Property. Please join me in voting for my good friend, Randy Johnston.

I can't even put into words right now how proud I am of my dad, Randy Johnston, for all of his hard work and dedication to the residents of Hamilton County. His endorsement by the Chattanooga Free Press should let everyone know that he is the best fit for the job.
My dad has always been a hard working family man but over the past few months he has worked 24/7 to spread his message to the people of Hamilton County. He's not a politician, and if you've been to any of his debates or gatherings you can tell by his raw emotions that he loves and appreciates everyone standing united in his name.
I am very proud of him and I hope everyone votes #RandyJAllTheWay come March 1s. Remember early voting starts this week.
